Champions Get A Great Home Coming In St. Thomas Virgin Islands
Lt. Gov. Gregory Francis, Hall Of Famer Boxer Trainer Julian Jackson and his newly crown champions 154 WBC light middleweight champion John Jackson and 154 WBC Fecarbox Welterweight Champion Samual Rogers. Delegate Donna Christensen and Sen.

Julian Jackson train two for championship
Julian Jackson is a retired professional boxer and former three-time world champion in the light middleweight and middleweight divisions. Known as "The Hawk", Jackson is considered to be one of the hardest pound-for-pound punchers in history, and is ranked #25 on Ring Magazine's list of 100 Greatest Punchers Of All-Time.
The Hall Of Famer Jackson now living in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He continued his involvement in the local boxing field as a trainer and coach. He has two sons who are also boxers and have been doing well lately at the local level but on Friday night at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas the son John Jackson undefeated knockout artist (12-0, 11 KOs) scored a sixth round TKO over previously undefeated Keandre Leatherwood (9-1, 6 KOs) in a fight for the vacant WBC Youth light middleweight title. The bout was waved off by referee Robert Byrd with Leatherwood taking heavy fire time was 1:31 and Jackson also trained unbeaten jr middleweights, Samuel Rogers (11-0, 6 KOs) scored a tenth round TKO over Jamar Freeman (9-1-2, 5 KOs) to claim the vacant WBC FECARBOX belt. Time was 2:10.

Hall of Famer Mike Tyson and future hall of fame lock Bernard Hopkins entered the Guinness Book of World records last night at the awards banquet of the 49th annual WBC convention in Las Vegas. Tyson was actually awarded with not one but two certificates of recognition- most flash knockouts by a heavyweight in a career (9 in less than a minute), and youngest heavyweight champion (20 years, 144 days), while Hopkins was recognized as the oldest man to win a major world boxing championship (46 years, 126 days). Fellow Guinness honoree Oscar De La Hoya presented each man their certificates along with WBC president Jose Sulaiman. De La Hoya had been honored earlier for highest career PPV sales by a boxer ($696 million).

BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
Bridges Of Hope Outreach Ministry and Helping Hands Pal, Inc. presented with Professional Trainer Aaron Snowell a free back to school supplies program for the Franklinton School system.
The back to school program guest speakers were Dr. Beverly Joseph keynote speaker, Dr. Sylvia Crudup children book writer, Martha Ann Hunter invaction, Deanna Wilson child therapist, Frannie Brown education specialist, Aaron Snowell professional trainer.
Free brunch was given to children and their parents along with school information about school safety for the up and coming school year 2011-2012.
This is a on going community programs that Mr. Snowell said is a extension from the 2011 free youth summer camp program.

Tim Austin had an outstanding amateur career compiling a amateur record of 113-9.
Austin won a Bronze Medal as a flyweight at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He successfully defended his title 9 times before losing and was trained by trainer Aaron Snowell.

Greeting from the Town of Franklinton, Trainer Aaron Snowell the former trainer of Mike Tyson is helping the Town Of Franklinton N.C. with GET FIT! Franklinton. Greetings from the Town of Franklinton! Our community is a thriving small town on the northern edge of the Research Triangle Park. Since our founding as a "railroad" town some 165 years ago, we have been a close-knit community and remain so today. It is within this vein that a committee of citizens and medical professionals convened just over one year ago to begin creating a program for our Town's citizens called GET FIT Franklinton. Why create this program? The reason is simple. We are not a healthy community. We have many active citizens, but as a whole, or community simply is not a healthy one. Thus, we have created a committee to move a program forward to change our community's outlook on healthy active. We call it Get Fit Franklinton because that's exactly what we want to do-we want our commuity to more fit and active! You are cordially invited to attend Get Fit Franklinton's First Annual Walk/Run and Community Health Fair.
